Rules & procedures
1.This Tournament will be held annually for amateur snooker players Only based in Wales. Professionals are NOT PERMITTED.
Commencing around October.
2.Prizes being awarded to the Following - Winners, Runners-up & Losing Semi Finalists of the main competition.
3.Competition will be run on a knockout basis only .
4.A team will consist of 3 players, Registering a maximum of 6 players per team. Players can be of any age, Male or Female, providing they are registered. If they are under 18 and drawn away, the home team must be made aware of this prior to playing to confirm the player is allowed play in their club.
A Team registering Entry MUST list a Minimum of 3 Players per team and include a reserve..
5. All heats, semi-finals and finals shall be the best of 7 frames.
Match pairings shall be determined by a draw made by the team captains prior to the match commencement, and all games shall be played in the order drawn.
Format- Each pair to play one Single frame in the format 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 followed by a second frame played by the same pairs in the same order = 6 frames, if required.
In the event of a 3-3 match tie, captains are to nominate a team member to play 1 deciding frame.
6.All rounds up to and including the quarter-finals, are to be played at the original registered venue of the team named home in the draw.
Teams drawn at home shall contact their opponents within 7 days of the draws being published. Four suggested dates should be offered to play, at least two of which shall be weekend dates, This being a Friday evening, Saturday or Sunday. Should the home team fail to submit dates within the time allowed, the responsibility for contact will then fall with the away team, who can also claim home advantage should they wish. The four dates ruling then transfers to the away team.
7.The home team has the responsibility to referee each match. Full Rules apply including the miss ruling. It is at the referee’s discretion although slight interpretations should be discussed prior to the match starting. The referee’s decision is final.
8.Semi Finals and Finals will be played at a neutral Venue/s, registered in entering the tournament. The venues and dates for these matches will be set by the competition organiser.?
9.Results to be submitted through the competition organiser Only by the winning team who has the responsibility to submit the results. Teams whose results are not received by the closing date will be automatically disqualified.?
10.Registrations cannot be altered after the draw for the first round has been made. A player registered for one team cannot go on to be transferred to another during the Tournament. In the event of a club playing an unregistered player, the match is to be awarded to the opposing team.
11.The latest round deadline dates are STRICTLY SET and are available on the DRAW PAGE.
12.The entrance fee will be £30 per team, this should be made payable to the competition organiser via the registration method online.
13.Prize monies will be decided and published based on entry totals and other potential incomes.
14.Prizes:
- Team Winners - £1000.00
- Team Runners Up - £400.00
- Team Losing Semi-Finalists - £100
15.The competition organiser will have full power to settle all matters arising if not covered by these rules.
